Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise. (Jeremiah 17:14)
Jeremiah knew he could count on God. He knew the One to go to when he had a problem. Thankfully, he still reminds us of this in his book of the Bible even today. We all must come to the revelation that God is the only One who can heal and save us.
When Jesus took that horrible beating before He went to the cross, He did that so we could walk in health. He took all that pain so we wouldn’t have to. That is not to say we will never feel pain, but when we trust in Him, He will heal us in His way, in His time. There is no magic way we can all be healed. We have to go through the blood of Jesus to get there.
The same is true with salvation. We can do nothing on our own to obtain our salvation. We all need to accept Jesus, recognize what He did on the cross, and ask for His saving grace. This is the only way to salvation and an eternal life with God.
Once we realize all of this, we should be praising God. He is the One we should be constantly thanking and praising, because without Jesus, we would not have any chance of an eternity with Him. Praise should be always on our lips when we come to acknowledge this truth.
Give praise to God today for all you have in your life. Thank Him with a sincere heart when you think of all the wonderful things He has done and is doing in your life. He loves and enjoys all our praise.
