I am a Victor
Psalm 149:4 NIV
4 For the Lord takes delight in his people;
he crowns the humble with victory.
We have victory through Christ. He gave us the authority He had while on this earth. Now we are victors. Even the one who wrote this psalm knew about God’s victory.
The Lord does take delight in us. As His chosen children, we bring Him joy and gladness. When we repent of our sins, we are made new by the blood of Jesus. When God sees us, He sees us as perfect and spotless. He sees Jesus.
The important thing to remember in this verse is we need to be humble. If we are proud of ourselves and what we have accomplished on our own without God’s help, we will not see victory in our lives. We must give control over to God and let Him lead and guide us into complete victory in every area of our lives. He wants to bless us with good and perfect gifts. If we are too proud and not humble, we will miss out on those opportunities.
Father, I come to You with a humble heart. Jesus, I thank You for dying on the cross so I may have victory in every area of my life. You showed the example of true humility, and I want to follow in Your footsteps. I thank You for Your perfect guidance. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
